Wilsthorpe School is a highly respected, oversubscribed 11-18 school with over 1,200 students located close to Junction 25 of the M1 in the suburb of Long Eaton, easily commutable from Derby, Nottingham and the surrounding areas with good transport links. Measures of student attainment, progress, attendance and behaviour consistently outperform local and national averages.

We are strengthening our senior team with an appointment of a second Deputy Headteacher to lead on student culture. This role has a pastoral focus and will provide leadership and oversight of a team of senior and middle leaders with responsibility for behaviour, attendance and safeguarding. This is an exciting role providing an opportunity to work in a key role within a high-performing leadership team in a school which enjoys strong relationships with students, families, and staff.

We are seeking a colleague with significant leadership experience in secondary education who can demonstrate a track record of successfully leading a whole-school culture. ​The role presents a highly sought-after opportunity for a highly qualified individual to play a pivotal role in the development and improvement of this high-performing school.
