St Michael’s Catholic High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and ambitious Deputy Headteacher who is a practising Catholic to work alongside our newly appointed Headteacher. We are looking for an experienced candidate with outstanding leadership qualities to join our dynamic Senior Leadership Team in driving our school towards even further success.

St Michael's is highly successful Catholic Secondary School serving the community of South West Hertfordshire and is part of The Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust (DOWAT) - one of the most successful Multi Academy Trusts in the country. We are a warm, supportive and inclusive community where every decision is centred around our ethos and mission.

Our staff are deeply committed to the provision of an excellent holistic education that will result in every student thriving. The successful candidate will play a critical strategic role in the development and implementation of this education.

This is an exciting time to join our community, following successful inspections by the Archdiocese of Westminster and OFSTED last academic year, and the retirement of our long-serving Headteacher. The successful candidate will have the opportunity, working alongside the newly appointed Headteacher, to shape the future direction and success of our school. The post will provide many opportunities for further professional and career development.

  • the ability to contribute significantly to continuous school improvement in the context of the School's Ethos and Mission Statement
  • exceptional curriculum knowledge and experience of curriculum design and planning
