Deputy Headteacher job summary

We are pleased to announce that Brunel has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional and dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join Churchward School.

Churchward School is a special school for students aged 11-19 years with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Social Communication Interaction Difficulties (SCID). The school now has three sites across Swindon located in the town centre, Lydiard Millicent and William Morris Way, Tadpole.

With support from the Headteacher (HT), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Director of Education (DoE) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you will be responsible for having professional responsibility for the educational aspects of the school and operational responsibility as determined by the HT, organisation, management and conduct of the school.

You will collaborate and work closely with Brunel’s Leadership Teams and wider network of Education Support Teams at a crucial time in the Trust’s growth.
