An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional senior leader to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form (KNGS). KNGS is an OFSTED outstanding school and is part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust, has a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form. We are proud of our vibrant, socially and culturally diverse school, which lies in the heart of our community, and is highly regarded in our local area and beyond. The role of Deputy Headteacher (Curriculum) has become available due to the retirement of the current postholder therefore, the post is available from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be joining KNGS at an exciting point in its journey. KNGS became a founding member of the West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT) in January 2025. The formation of WMAT has been a very positive move for the continued development of the school. As a school, we strive to “open a world of opportunities” for our students enabling them to demonstrate respect and courage in order to flourish. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher, inspiring leader and team player with the ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively to ensure their vision, and that of the schools are accomplished successfully. They will have a passion to lead the curriculum, self-review (quality assurance) and continued professional development, alongside other foci that meet the strengths of the successful candidate and the needs of the school.
