Elmlea Infant and Junior Schools are seeking to appoint an Infant School Deputy Headteacher to join our senior leadership team from September 2025.

Deputy Headteacher

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Supports the vision and values of our schools and is passionate about the teaching and learning of all children

  • Is an experienced senior leader and can demonstrate impact in this role

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with very high expectations of behaviour, attitudes and achievement

  • Has the proven ability to lead and inspire staff successfully demonstrating excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Has the ability to contribute, manage and lead the development of a clear strategy and vision to raise attainment for all our pupils

  • Is experienced and skilled in interpreting data to inform planning, target setting and monitoring

  • Has the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with the headteacher, staff, governors and parents and understands the importance of a strong home/school partnership
