Deputy Headteacher job summary

Khalsa Primary School is seeking an ambitious, visionary, and values-driven Deputy Headteacher to join our senior leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a knowledge-rich, future-ready curriculum within a school rooted in a Sikh faith-inspired ethos. As Deputy Headteacher, you will lead on curriculum innovation, teaching and learning, CPD and digital transformation, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum, teaching, CPD and digital innovation

  • Drive high standards through monitoring and data use

  • Support and develop staff, including ECTs

  • Promote wellbeing and a positive school culture

  • Build strong partnerships with parents, governors, and the community

    We are looking for someone who has:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Leader.
    • The ability to design and implement a highly ambitious, sequenced curriculum
    • A proven track record of significant impact in a primary leadership role.
