Kingsway Community Primary School

Deputy Headteacher

Full time, permanent

Grade: Warwickshire Leadership Scale L6-L10 (£58,569 to £64,691)

Start date: 13th April 2026

Location: Kingsway Primary School, Baker Avenue, Leamington Spa, CV31 3HB

Inclusion isn’t just what we believe in at Kingsway Community Primary School - it’s the way we work every day.

We are a school that never gives up on any child, where relationships come first, where every pupil is known, valued and challenged, and where staff work together with optimism and purpose. If this resonates with you, you may be the leader we’re looking for.

We are seeking a Deputy Headteacher who believes that inclusion is a promise, not a policy — someone who leads with heart, clarity and ambition, shaping a culture where every child thrives and every adult grows.

This is a rare opportunity to join our forward-thinking leadership team and play a central role in shaping the next chapter of our school’s journey.

You’ll lead on Inclusion, Behaviour and Teaching & Learning, and serve as Maths Lead, shaping a whole-school approach to mathematical thinking, progress and curriculum design. You’ll also act as Pupil Premium Lead, ensuring strategic use of funding and championing high‑quality provision for disadvantaged pupils. You’ll support our new SENCO to strengthen systems and provision, mentor Initial Teacher Trainees and Early Career Teachers, and contribute to our safeguarding culture as a Deputy DSL. A small teaching commitment will keep you connected to the classroom and grounded in the daily experiences of our pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

Notices the quiet child who needs a check-in

Believes high expectations and high support go hand in hand

Thrives on coaching and developing others

Understands that behaviour is communication

Knows that inclusion, safeguarding and SEND are everyone’s responsibility

Leads with energy, clarity and kindness

Has the subject knowledge and drive to lead Maths with purpose and vision

What our pupils say:

“We would like our new Deputy Headteacher to be responsible, loyal and caring.” — Year 4

“We would like someone who knows how to help people who may have a disadvantage and who can make everyone new feel welcome.” — Year 6

If you believe every child deserves to feel seen, safe and successful, we would love to meet you.
