What skills and experience we're looking for
Bishop’s Primary School is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join the team and help ensure the staff and children develop in a safe and inclusive environment . Under the leadership of the Headteacher and in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards and supporting the growth of every pupil within the school. The school is two form entry and you will have a teaching commitment and be responsible for one specific key stage.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspire and lead a team of committed staff to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
Be an excellent classroom practitioner.
Drive curriculum development, setting high expectations for staff, students, and parents.
Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, driving forward school improvement.
Lead by example, maintaining and strengthening the ethos of our school community.
Support the personal and academic growth of every student, ensuring their well-being and success.

Welcome to Bishop’s Primary School! We are based at the Josephine Butler Campus in Ashington alongside Duke’s Secondary School and Castle School.
We serve the wards of Ashington Central, College and Hirst and have capacity for over 510 children aged 3-11 years.
