Grace Darling Primary School is seeking a committed and supportive Deputy Headteacher to join the team and play a key role in shaping the future of the school, ensuring that every child receives the best possible education in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The school is two form entry school, you will have a teaching commitment and be responsible for one specific key stage.

Grace Darling Primary values the first years in a school and recognises them as some of the most important. Our school aims to ensure that the children have a ‘can-do’ attitude towards learning through an environment that enables each child to feel happy and safe, valued and secure as they grow, learn and develop. We provide an engaging curriculum, which encourages a passion and curiosity for learning that will help children to develop high aspirations and provide a lifetime of memories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and lead a team of committed staff to deliver exceptional learning experiences.

  • Drive curriculum development, setting high expectations for staff, students, and parents.

  • Work closely with staff, pupils, and parents to maintain a positive and engaging school culture

  • Lead by example, maintaining and strengthening the ethos of our school community.

  • Support the personal and academic growth of every student, ensuring their well-being and success.
