Hackness and Wykeham Church of England Primary Schools are seeking an inspiring, dedicated, and forward-thinking Deputy Headteacher to join our thriving and inclusive school community with our core Christian Values at the heart of all that we do.

We are delighted to present this opportunity for an exceptional and inspiring experienced senior leader to work across two schools, as a Deputy Headteacher with timetabled teaching time at Hackness C of E Primary School.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for all pupils and making a real difference, and supporting staff to deliver the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Headteacher in leading the strategic development and day to day leadership and management of the school
  • Drive improvements in teaching, learning, and curriculum delivery, ensuring high standards across the phases and the two schools.
  • Lead and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and professional development
  • Monitor pupil progress and implement strategies to raise attainment and achievement
  • Promote a strong culture of safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion
  • Contribute to school self-evaluation and improvement planning
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and the wider community
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and values driven school culture.
  • Timetabled teaching time.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Leadership experience in a school setting
  • A proven track record of raising standards and improving outcomes for pupils
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop staff and pupils alike
