Ralph Butterfield School enjoys a reputation for motivating children to try their best and achieve the highest standard of work that they are individually capable of. High levels of progress and attainment have been achieved consistently here, year on year, for many years. The vast majority of our children leave the school having reached the nationally expected standard, with many children working above this standard.

The children are absolutely at the heart of every decision we make and as a staff team we are very dedicated and care passionately about what we do. We pride ourselves on the outstanding level of care shown for each individual child; going the extra mile is the norm for us, not the exception. We take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and work hard to ensure that every child is, and feels, safe, and has a caring and supportive environment in which to work, grow and enjoy time. Underpinning everything is the shared goal between our parents/carers, staff and governors, of providing our children with the best possible education and experiences, preparing them for their next stage of education academically, but also with life skills and a good level of emotional resilience.
