Forest Way Special School is seeking applications for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Deputy Headteacher to join our team from Easter 2020. This vacancy has arisen because the current post holder has secured a promotion.

A first degree or equivalent

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

Evidence of successful teaching in a range of settings.
Recent middle management experience.
Experience of leading and managing a team.
Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs.
Ability to lead, provide clear vision, and command respect.
Incisive and clear strategic thinker.
Able to motivate pupils and staff.
Ability to delegate responsibility.
Set high standards and provide a focus for improvement.
Play a leading role in implementing the School Improvement Plan.
Able to establish and develop positive relationships and liaise effectively, with all involved in the school.
A determination to progress school improvement and a desire to fulfil each child and young people's potential,
