St. Luke’s Halsall C. of E. Primary School and Nursery is a welcoming, vibrant and inclusive church school in Crosby.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who has a proven track record of excellent classroom practice, who is child centred and has a strong personal faith to support and live out our school values. We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious person who is looking to move into the next stage of their career and who will thrive within our aspirational school family.

We are proud of our delightful and eager children and were pleased with our ‘Good’ judgment from Ofsted in March 2019. In September 2017 SIAMS agreed we were an ‘Outstanding’ school – ‘The school has a vibrant Christian vision for the school that is lived out by all its members.’

The ideal candidate will also:
• Have a clear understanding of how to nurture the Christian ethos of our school
• Have a proven experience of positively impacting pupil progress and developing excellence across the school
• Have expertise in monitoring teaching and learning with a thorough knowledge of all key stages
• Have the passion to make a real difference to the lives of each of our children
• Have experience in developing a rich, broad and balanced curriculum
• Have experience of working within a vibrant and committed SLT
• Be able to provide a supportive faith reference from the priest/minister where they regularly worship
