Our Vision: We are a school with a heart to support children and families with a vision statement of "Life in all its fullness through Learning and Love." This is driven through our core values of Aspire, Hope, Joy and Service. St Mary & St Paul’s is a successful primary school, which has been graded as ‘good’ by Ofsted and ‘outstanding’ in our SIAMS (church school) inspection. We are a warm, welcoming school in Prescot where we cater for children of all abilities and seek to develop them educationally, spiritually, morally and culturally. We strive for all children to achieve their potential, supporting them as they develop the key skills that they require to progress further through life. Our Christian Values are at the centre of all that we do and are a key feature of our school. Our curriculum is balanced and broad, catering for all abilities and which will provide them with the best possible education at the earliest stage of their life. It is delivered by a team of staff in a way that is enjoyable and challenging enabling each child to make progress in their learning. The school has its own nursery which takes children in from 3 years of age. The nursery provides 15 hours (5 x 3 hours per day) throughout term time. We also work with a private daycare facility on site (Sue Gill Nursery) which caters for children up to 3 years of age, five days a week, all year round. This forms part of the 30 hour offer which is split between both daycare and the school nursery. St Mary & St Paul’s provides a Breakfast Club from 7.45am and an After School Club until 5.30pm. In addition, the school has a wide range of after school activities which are led by both staff and external providers. These activities include football, art, choir, netball, rugby, dance, computing, science and history clubs as well as many others. Through the work of our Family Support Worker the school is able to provide English and Maths lessons and parenting classes for any parent who is looking to support their children further, either at home or at school. We also work with a number of health professionals to support the needs of the children. St Mary & St Paul’s is also the lead school in Mersey Boroughs Initial Teacher Training, where we are at the centre of training new teachers who work across many schools in Merseyside and further afield. Our school also works closely with the Diocese of Liverpool and we are continuing to strengthen and deepening these links even further. Should you wish to make an appointment to look around the school please contact the school office – 0151 426 6869
