Due to the retirement of the longstanding Deputy Headteacher, Stanley Park Junior School is looking to appoint anambitious Deputy Headteacherto join our successful school from September 2026.

- Has successful leadership experience in Key Stage 2 and the ability to inspire others
- Believes passionately in inclusion and high expectations for every child.
- Can think strategically, but also roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Builds strong relationships with staff, pupils and families
- Is reflective, resilient and always striving to improve
- Will thrive in a collaborative and ambitious school environment.
- Is engaged with current educational research.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Model exceptional professional standards and lead by example
- To be responsible for the leadership of the curriculum development across the school and raising standards in teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the day-to-day leadership and running of the school.
- Lead on raising the achievement of disadvantaged students, including pupil premium and their personal development, attendance, attainment and progress.
- Work alongside the Headteacher and senior leaders to drive school improvement.
- Deputise for the Headteacher when required
- To make a significant contribution to the school’s continuing professional development programme
- Be part of the safeguarding team
- Committed to providing pupils with access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities
This post includes a teaching commitment of around 2.5 days
