Due to the retirement of the longstanding Deputy Headteacher, Stanley Park Junior School is looking to appoint anambitious Deputy Headteacherto join our successful school from September 2026.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Model exceptional professional standards and lead by example
  • To be responsible for the leadership of the curriculum development across the school and raising standards in teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day leadership and running of the school.
  • Lead on raising the achievement of disadvantaged students, including pupil premium and their personal development, attendance, attainment and progress.
  • Work alongside the Headteacher and senior leaders to drive school improvement.
  • Deputise for the Headteacher when required
  • To make a significant contribution to the school’s continuing professional development programme
  • Be part of the safeguarding team
  • Committed to providing pupils with access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities

This post includes a teaching commitment of around 2.5 days
