Deputy Kids Club Leader job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Deputy Kids Club Leader to join our growing team at Crown Street Primary School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting the Kids Club Manager in providing a high quality, play and child-centred setting. You'll provide high standards of care and play opportunities for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. 

Due to Crown Street Primary's unique location, there is no parking on site. However, there are Pay & Display bays on the surrounding roads of Great Jackson Street, which is where Crown Street Primary School is located. Public transport is excellent, with Crown Street Primary School being a 7-minute walk from Deansgate Train Station and Deansgate-Castlefield Tram Stop. We also offer interest free loans for the purchase of annual travel tickets.

This position is contracted on a 25 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 38 out of 52 weeks.

Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please find the Job Description below)

  • Kids Club Manager with the day-to-day management of the breakfast and After School clubs to ensure the highest quality of service for the children attending.
  • Work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure they feel fully involved in their child’s care.

Key Skills and Experiences

  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Good knowledge and understanding of play and how to create opportunities for a wide range of ages and interests
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of working with children ages 4-11 would be advantageous
