Deputy Nursery Manager – Little Oaks Nursery

(Based at Wyberton Primary Academy, Saundergate Lane, Wyberton, Lincolnshire PE21 7BZ)

The post is full time 40 hours per week, 38 weeks per year plus five training days.

The post requires you to work 8-hour shift pattern which supports with cover for our wrap around provision.

Salary scale: G5 12 – G5 15

Actual salary: £24,597.15 - £ 27,097.01

Are you committed to compliance and delivering the Early Years Statutory framework within a nursery setting. Are you a role model who demonstrates values in action?

We are looking to appoint an excellent Deputy Manager to work in our Nursery within our EYFS setting with effect from September 2025.

As Deputy Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of the setting. This includes staff deployment and managing the nursery in compliance to the Statutory framework and other regulations as required - (e.g. Food hygiene; Health & Safety).

You will ensure the setting is tidy, presentable, and safe by completing daily checks and risk assessments. You will work alongside our EYFS leader and with others within the setting to ensure high quality curriculum provision is planned creatively and is accessible to all learners.

You will be responsible for building strong bonds and relationships with children, families, and the staff team every day – both within the nursery setting and in the wider aspect of the school.

The Deputy Manager will communicate effectively and work with our Infinity Academies Trust central team to ensure careful management of information relating to funding and raising invoices for wrap around provision. You will also be responsible for submitting funding claims each month.

Applicants should have achieved Grade C or above in GCSE Maths & English or equivalent and a minimum of a Level 3 diploma in childcare. A higher-level qualification is desirable. A minimum of 1 year nursery leadership experience is essential.
