What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an opportunity to appoint a Deputy SENCo to work as part of our dynamic and forward-thinking SEND team.
The Westlands School SEND department is thriving. The department has excellent access to SEN resources and the current team are both passionate about, and experienced in, delivering SEND education.
We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic, flexible and determined to develop their career. Whilst an interest and knowledge of Special Educational Needs is essential, we will consider applicants who have the ambition and desire to develop their career in this area.
This role is suitable for an experienced teacher who aspires to become a lead SENCo. Subject specialism is not relevant but the ability to teach maths and / or another academic subject to pupils who have not met expected standards at KS2 would be desirable.
