What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, well qualified and experienced Deputy SENCO to join our supportive Special Needs Department. The successful applicant will have a QTS and teach at all levels, along with a NASENCO or willing to work towards NPQ for SENCO. This is a great opportunity to teach motivated students and be part of an enthusiastic SEND team.
About the role:
- Full time, permanent, experienced QTS practitioner with a strong background working with children with SEN
- Have a good understanding of children with high support needs
- Knowledge and experience of managing successful processes such as EHCP applications, and annual reviews with external agencies
- A strong team player who forms excellent relationships with staff, students and parents
- All staff will be fully supported with a professional development programme
- Applications from all faiths, and none, are equally welcome
