We are seeking a highly inspired and motivated Deputy SENCo, who is committed to supporting students with SEND to reach their potential and is able to make a positive contribution to our community. We offer a range of provision for our students to assist them within the mainstream secondary setting.
You will work with a highly professional team who believe in the inclusion and success of all our students and giving them the best possible prospects for their future lives. We are ambitious in striving to meet individual needs and improving their learning opportunities.
Committed to the inclusion of all our students, you will of course have excellent communication skills, and will have vision, expertise and commitment in the area of SEN. You will ideally have experience in multi-agency working and have a strong awareness of the relevant SEN legislation that underpins SEN within schools. Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in Psychology / SEN / Child Development, you will have experience of teaching / supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream setting and have knowledge of current practice and developments for students with SEND.

As Deputy SENCo, you will be welcomed into an exceptional team of professionals to:
- Provide learning support to students under the direction of the SENCo
- Support and liaise with staff, parents and external agencies
- Ensure the needs of identified students is met by coordinating support and provision for students with EHCPs
- Support the Learning Support Assistant team with ensuring high-quality in-class support
- Work with class teachers and other academy staff to ensure awareness of the implications of SEND
