Deputy SENDco job summary

den Park High School is one of eight schools within the Academy Trust E21C. The school benefits from a stunning new building in Beckenham and marries together the key principles of traditional values and preparing our students for their future. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to assist in managing the provision of pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The Deputy SENDco will help manage a team of Learning Mentors, and will support the SENDCo with organising the transition phases and access arrangements for students with SEND. Assisting in leading the work of the SEND team, including liaising with staff, parents and outside professionals. We offer a strong CPD programme and a focus on staff wellbeing in a highly supportive environment. Having opened in 2017, Eden Park High School currently has Years 7-10 September 2020. Over the next four years we will continue to grow organically to have Years 7-13. Staff and students alike flourish in our modern building and learn together as they build this school community. Our core ethos is ‘to be the best you can be’ with a strong focus on supporting the whole child and having high aspirations so that they fulfil their potential. The post holder will be making a strong contribution to promoting the school’s high standards in all areas of school life.
