We particularly encourage applications from colleagues in underrepresented groups and welcome conversations about flexible working opportunities.

We are seeking to appoint a DT Technician - it's an exciting opportunity to play a central role within thriving and well-established Design and Technology departments across both Coombe Girls’ School and Coombe Boys’ School. The successful candidate will provide practical and technical support across a range of specialist areas including Product Design, Food, Textiles and Electronics, helping to ensure that lessons run smoothly and safely.

The role involves preparing materials and resources, maintaining and servicing equipment, and supporting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and classroom activities. You will take responsibility for workshop organisation, stock control and equipment checks, ensuring that health and safety requirements are consistently met. The post also includes oversight of the Key Stage 3 rotation process and departmental administrative systems as well as working closely with Key Stage 4 students to support the completion of practical coursework.

We are looking for someone organised, proactive and confident working independently, who enjoys being part of a busy school community. This is a varied and hands-on role that would suit someone with strong practical skills, good attention to detail and a genuine interest in supporting creative learning.

This role will be 36 hours per week, term time plus one week.
