Design & Technology and Food Technician (term time only) job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join a passionate team of staff in a growing Multi Academy Trust.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed Design & Technology and Food Technician to join a team of dedicated and hardworking staff in a happy, friendly and supportive school.

The Wilnecote School is part of The Community Academies Trust which is a successful, forward-thinking organisation which maintains high expectations of staff and students.

We are seeking an Design & Technology and Food Technician who will be a key part of our team. You will provide general technical support to the D&T, Food and Art department in organising requirements for their lesson delivery. You must be able to operate machinery, keep check of and order stock, work alongside teaching staff and students.

The successful candidate will have high expectations, a commitment to raising standards of attainment and up-to-date knowledge of teaching and behaviour management strategies. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals with good communication and organisational skills and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our students and their community.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills and have the ability and confidence to use ICT. Experience of working with children and/or students is desirable and at interview, you will be able to clearly display an affinity to the pastoral care of students in school.

A driving license is required for this role.

Successful applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people including, parents, teachers, students and support staff.
