Design Technology Teacher job summary
The Job:
Pleckgate High School seek to appoint a Design Technology Teacher to join the school from September 2026. We would welcome full time and part time applications.
What does this job do?
- To deliver engaging design and technology lessons across both key stages within hospitality and catering or product design.
- Plan and teach a broad design and technology curriculum to help pupils to develop practical knowledge and skills.
- To lead practical sessions for pupils in well resourced workspaces allowing pupils to design and make products.
- To work with the department in offering a range of extra curricular activities for pupils involving design and technology.
What are the job requirements?
- Qualified to degree level in a Technology based subject or adequate post degree conversion course.
- Qualified teacher status.
- Ability to deliver high-quality lessons in Technology to pupils of all ages and abilities.
- Experience of teaching Technology throughout the Key Stages and securing good outcomes.
- Knowledge of requirements of the Technology Curriculum and developments and initiatives relating to the subject and its implications for pupils.
