Crofton Academy are seeking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic DT Technician to join us on a part-time basis from September 2026. The successful applicant should be self-motivated, organised and have a great eye for detail.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support for the department: including preparation of materials, maintenance of equipment, and guidance for both staff and pupils.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure that rooms are ready, safe and prepared prior to lessons with appropriate resources.
  • Assist teachers as necessary with any technical, practical, or IT support.
  • Be able to maintain/repair departmental machinery and equipment, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Manage/audit/order stock, organise and store safely all equipment and resources.
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Have a methodical and consistent approach to the organisation of their workload.
