The Romsey School is seeking a practical, organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to support our thriving Design & Technology department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in creating safe, well-organised learning environments. Working closely with teachers and students, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging and creative lessons across the department.

Whether you have previous experience in a school environment or transferable skills from industry, training can be provided for the right candidate. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and committed to supporting young people's learning.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Maintain a safe, organised and well-resourced workshop environment
  • Prepare materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons
  • Support teachers in the delivery of engaging curriculum activities
  • Maintain and monitor stock levels, tools, machinery and equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
  • Assist with developing and preparing resources for new projects and learning activities
