Vacancy for Design Technology Technician
Salary: Meridian Trust, Grade 4 Point 3-5
Hours of work: 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
It is a very exciting time for North Cambridge Academy. We are growing in student numbers and expanding our team of support staff. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Design Technology Technician. Your work will ensure that lessons run smoothly, resources are prepared to a high standard, and students have the tools and environment they need to explore their creativity.
The Opportunity
- To support teachers in practical lessons, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld
- To assist students with the use of workshop tools, and to maintain tidy, well-organised classrooms and storage areas
- To contribute to the smooth running of the department through administrative and technical support.
The ideal candidate
- Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
- Experience of subject background and confidence working with a range of tools, materials, and equipment
- Genuine passion for working with young people
- Ability to always remain calm and professional
- Committed and reliable with high professional standards
