Design Technology Technician job summary

Clarendon Academy is looking for a skilled DT technician to provide support for teaching and learning in our Design Technology classrooms. This is a wonderful opportunity to join our dedicated team of technicians and be involved in preparing resources and equipment for lessons: hard materials: woods, metals and plastics, as well as maintaining machinery and ordering supplies. Previous experience of working in an educational environment is advantageous but not essential. A knowledge of basic engineering and/or mechanics would be useful, however full training will be given.

Working Hours: Part Time (35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 39 weeks per year including Teacher Training days). Required: ASAP.

This is a varied and busy role, which involves producing accurate work to tight deadlines, so applicants must possess excellent time management skills.
