Design & Technology Technician

31 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week (40 Weeks per year)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Technician to support the Design & Technology department at The Romsey School. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance, ensure safe equipment use, and develop into an excellent academic support team member.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment in the workshops and preparation areas.
  • Preparing resources for lessons to assist teachers in delivering the curriculum.
  • Supporting teachers in the delivery of design technology classes by maintaining equipment and appropriate resources.
  • Providing classroom support to teachers, including assisting in the development of new practical activities.
  • Monitoring resources and maintaining inventories of equipment and tools.
  • Carrying out visual and other routine safety checks, ensuring that COSHH and other Health and Safety regulations are applied in all procedures and areas for which responsibility is allocated.
