Designated Safeguarding Lead job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Designated Safeguarding Lead (non-teaching) to join our Senior Leadership Team in our oversubscribed and successful school.

In this role you will work closely with the Headteacher to ensure an effective safeguarding culture through systems and practices, strong training across staff, student and parent bodies and to ensure that safeguarding concerns are effectively addressed with close monitoring of impact. You will lead and be supported by an experienced and dedicated wider Safeguarding Team.

This is a permanent post for 37 hours per week and 40 weeks per year (term time plus 1 weeks during the school holidays). The working pattern is 08:00-16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00-15:30 on a Friday.

The successful candidate will ideally have significant experience in a school safeguarding role or have a social work/care, welfare, police background.
