Full-time, term time plus five days (37 hours per week hours negotiable)
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join our committed team. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to play a key role in our school’s vision by leading our pastoral care, safeguarding provision, and fostering a positive culture of wellbeing and hope.
You will:
- Lead on all aspects of pastoral care and wellbeing across the school to facilitate progress.
-Work closely with pupils in class to remove barriers and promote progress.
- Be the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding practice and culture working closely with the Headteacher and Senior team.
- Work closely with children, families, staff, and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes for vulnerable pupils by leading TAC and Early Help meetings and supporting pupils within the classroom environment.
- Model our vision and values through your daily practice, inspiring trust and confidence throughout the school community.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is experienced in classroom, pastoral and safeguarding work within an educational setting.
- Has up-to-date DSL training and a thorough knowledge of KCSIE and safeguarding legislation.
- Is highly approachable, emotionally intelligent, and resilient under pressure and committed to the teamwork and vision of the school.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children and families, and a relentless commitment to inclusion.
