What skills and experience we're looking for
An experienced Director of Business, ICT and Careers is required for September 2026 to deliver on our commitment to high expectations, to improve student outcomes and promote social mobility for all students at the Charles Dickens School.
The successful candidate should have experience of working with senior teams to create a productive learning environment, have strong leadership skills and be able to demonstrate the School's vision and values in everyday work and practice.

There are excellent specialist facilities for sport, hospitality, engineering, dance, drama, music and art. We have a Specialist Resource Provision for visually-impaired children. The Charles Dickens School is a rapidly-improving, non-selective 11-18 school located in Broadstairs, Kent. The Charles Dickens School is part of Barton Court Academy Trust, a small, ambitious Trust which also comprises a high achieving grammar school and another non-selective school which opened in September 2022.
