Director of Design Technology and Art job summary
Providing professional leadership and management to the Design Technology and Art Faculty in order to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and high standards of learning and achievement for all students.
To work as part of a team with other Directors/Heads of Department and the Senior Leadership Team, to realise the School’s mission statement and to realise its strategic objectives. Ensuring a strong commitment to local communities and to provide cost effective high quality education and training.
The Job Description should be read alongside the range of professional duties of Teachers as set out in the Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. The postholder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for qualified teachers and uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England.
