An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional and experienced leader to join Creating Tomorrow Trust as our Director of Education. This is a key executive role, providing strategic leadership across the Trust and playing a central part in shaping the quality of education for some of the most vulnerable young people in our communities.

Creating Tomorrow Trust comprises five special schools across North and West Northamptonshire and a specialist post-16 institute (SPI), working across Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire. Our work is underpinned by strong values, collaboration and an unwavering commitment to inclusive practice.

The Director of Education will lead and oversee the quality of education across the Trust, working closely with headteachers and principals to sustain and further improve standards. The role will ensure a strong performance culture is embedded across all settings, with a clear focus on learning, teaching and outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will provide focused support and challenge to academies and the college within the Trust. They will develop and lead the Trust’s School and College Development Strategy, oversee professional development opportunities, and establish and lead effective school and college improvement networks across the Trust and the wider region.

We are seeking exceptional candidates with:

  • A minimum of four years’ relevant experience at headteacher or senior leadership level

  • Significant experience of leading learning and teaching within a specialist or SEND-focused multi-academy trust

  • A proven track record of driving improvement and securing strong outcomes for young people with complex needs
