Are you an ambitious and passionate leader who believes that every child—regardless of background, need, or circumstance—deserves an exceptional education? We are seeking a strategic and inspirational Director of Inclusion to lead our Trust-wide approach to SEND, inclusion, and vulnerable pupil provision.
Working across our diverse primary and secondary schools, you will shape and deliver our Inclusion Strategy, support leaders to raise outcomes, and ensure we provide the very best for every learner. You will support a talented team of inclusion professionals and SENCOs, strengthen multi-agency partnerships, and drive high-quality inclusive practice at scale.
Our Trust comprises of 19 schools, 3 Colleges, 15 Primaries, and one All Through SEMH Special school. Established in 2018. We are situated in beautiful Devon on the out the outskirts of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. The schools vary in size and are all unique. Our schools are a large part of their local communities, and we value those relationships with families and locals.

We are looking for a leader with:
- A proven track record of improving outcomes for SEND and vulnerable learners
- Deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusion legislation
- Experience in senior leadership and leading change
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills

Key Purpose of the Role
The Director of Inclusion will provide strategic leadership across the Trust to ensure that all SEND pupils receive high-quality, equitable provision that enables them to thrive. The post-holder will champion inclusion in all its forms, working with Principals, SENCOs, and Trust leaders to strengthen practice, close gaps, and secure exceptional outcomes for every learner.

The successful candidate will be required to come to DMAT Central Offices to complete mandatory training.
Training Details:
Location: Central Head Office (Wardhayes) 8 Simmons Way, Okehampton, EX20 1PY
Purpose: To provide comprehensive training on company policies, procedures, and systems necessary for successful integration into the role.
Training Schedule: Daily sessions from 9am to 4pm, with breaks provided.
