Location: St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust (Central Team)

Salary: Grade 15 NJC

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Encounter - Learn - Grow - Flourish

St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust is a family of 15 schools serving the communities of Hull, East Riding, and North Yorkshire. We are currently seeking a strategic heavyweight to join our Executive Team as Director of Inclusion.

The Role

This is a new, executive-level post designed to complete our pastoral leadership structure. While we have a dedicated Director of Safeguarding and Attendance handling operational compliance and safety, we need a strategic leader to oversee the broader horizon of SEND, Behaviour, and Complex Provision.

You will be the architect of our Inclusion Strategy. You will support our Headteachers in developing internal provisions for our most vulnerable children, ensuring that curriculums are appropriate and accessible for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Leadership: You will collaborate with the Director of Safeguarding and Attendance, providing the strategic steer and pace needed to deliver operational excellence.
  • SEND & Behaviour: You will lead the Trust’s approach to Special Educational Needs, ensuring we move beyond compliance to genuine inclusivity in culture and belief.
  • Provision Design: You will work with senior leaders to design bespoke learning pathways for pupils with significant needs.

You are likely to be an existing Trust Director with a background in Inclusion or SEND.

  • You possess a strong knowledge of safeguarding but view it through the wider lens of school culture and inclusion.
  • You have the personal resilience to handle high-stakes investigations and decision-making.
  • You are passionate about driving a diligent culture where every child is seen, heard, and supported.

Why St Cuthbert's?

  • Influence: You will shape the pastoral direction of 15 schools.
  • Support: You will join a central team committed to operational and strategic excellence.
  • Misson: Work in an environment where ‘the glory of God is a human being fully alive’.
