What You’ll Do

As our Director of Learning for Science, you’ll be at the heart of our academic transformation. You will:

  • Champion a high-impact, inclusive science curriculum across KS3 and KS4
  • Inspire and lead a talented team of educators and support staff
  • Drive student achievement and progress through innovative teaching and assessment
  • Forge powerful links with feeder primary schools to ensure seamless transitions
  • Lead exciting extracurricular STEM initiatives — from clubs to competitions
  • Be a key player in our Academy Leadership Team, shaping whole-school strategy

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an accomplished senior leader with a strong track record of driving both departmental and whole-school improvement. Ideally, you’ll bring experience from a school serving a highly disadvantaged community and demonstrate a calm, reflective, and strategic approach to leadership.

You will have the expertise to build the capacity of our experienced Leadership Team, underpinned by a deep understanding of school improvement strategies. Your ability to lead change, inspire staff, and unite the wider community around clear, ambitious goals will be key to your success.

  • A curriculum expert with a sharp grasp of pedagogy and assessment
  • A motivator who brings energy, clarity, and purpose to their tea
