We are seeking an ambitious and inspiring Director of Maths who is passionate about creating the very best learning experiences for students, igniting a genuine love of Maths and ensuring every learner feels confident, capable and challenged.

You will lead a thriving department with purpose and care—shaping an engaging, high‑quality curriculum and fostering exceptional teaching so that all students develop the skills, resilience and ambition to succeed in Maths and beyond.

⭐ What You’ll Do

Lead a committed Maths team, “providing motivation and direction for the whole team” while modelling outstanding classroom practice.

Deliver well‑planned, engaging lessons rooted in Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction and our Excellent Teaching Model.

Use high‑quality assessment and data to secure strong progress for all learners and plan effective interventions.

Design and refine a well‑sequenced, fully resourced curriculum across KS3 and KS4.

Mentor ECTs and support colleagues through coaching, professional development and performance management.

Work closely with senior leaders to drive improvement and uphold our ethos of The Best in Everyone.

Champion positive attitudes to learning and ensure every student makes at least expected progress.
