Ormiston Victory is an innovative, positive and ambitious academy which is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and ambitious Director of Mathematics to lead a highly committed team of professionals for a period of maternity cover. We are determined to continue to develop the teaching of mathematics so that students of all abilities benefit from outstanding learning experiences and are motivated to succeed.
We believe in working hard to ensure our students enjoy their learning and this is reflected in the excellent enrichment opportunities available. We are able to offer a TLR 1 of between £10,174-£17,216 dependent on the experience of the successful candidate.
The mathematics department has a reputation for excellence with consistently high results reflecting the quality of teaching and learning. The successful applicant will work with a committed team to shape and deliver a programme of curricular and professional development, thus steering the area to even greater success.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who:
- Has a real passion for mathematics and a special gift of communicating that passion.
- Is dynamic, innovative, self-motivated and able to inspire others.
- Has the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age (11-18) and ability range.
- Is committed to raising standards of attainment and developing the success of the department.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and demonstrates reflective practice through the high expectations they have of themselves and the students.
The successful candidate would need to lead our post-16 Mathematics offer alongside Key Stage 3 & 4.
