What skills and experience we're looking for

We are excited to advertise a new leadership role within The Joseph Whitaker School. This post has faculty and whole school leadership responsibilities, providing an opportunity for someone to take up a significant lead role in the strategic development of the Maths faculty and the wider school, with respect to numeracy across the curriculum.

The successful applicant will be a talented classroom teacher of Mathematics and experienced leader, with the ability to ensure that all students are able to fulfil their potential and benefit from a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

The role includes line management responsibility for the Head of Maths and other colleagues, as well as working across the school to drive improvements in numeracy and financial literacy.

The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular 11-18 school, in Rainworth, a village just outside of Mansfield. It serves the three local villages of Blidworth, Rainworth and Ravenshead and has around 1300 students.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified Key Stage 5 Teacher of Criminology, ideally with experience of teaching Psychology and/or Sociology A-level.

We have extremely high expectations of our students and staff and offer excellent training and professional development opportunities. This position would be ideal for either someone looking to broaden their experience of Key Stage 5 teaching.
