Director of Maths job summary
Howden School is seeking to appoint an excellent maths practitioner as Director of Maths to lead and further develop our Maths team. Recently graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted, who comment on our transformational journey, we are an aspirational school, striving for excellence. About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Raising standards of progress and attainment in mathematics so that students make at least expected levels of progress and increase the numbers making more than expected progress
- Providing strong leadership that results in a mathematics team which provides first class teaching and learning opportunities for students and staff
- Instigate and develop an innovative approach to mathematics that will stimulate all students to achieve their potential, including the most able and most disadvantaged students
About You
The successful candidate will be an excellent Maths Teacher with experience teaching KS3 and KS4 and have experience of managing / leading a successful team. They will have a proven track record of raising attainment and improving student progress and be confident in developing and delivering an ambitious Maths curriculum.
