DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND BUSINESS SUPPORT
Scholars’ Education Trust based at Samuel Ryder Academy, St Albans
Contract: Permanent, 40 weeks (term time + Inset + 1 week at the end of August), 46.6 weeks paid
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary grade: M2 (£44,334 - £47,519 per annum, including Fringe)
Actual salary: £39,621 - £42,468 per annum, including Fringe
Scholars’ Education Trust (SET) is looking to appoint a Director of Operations to lead on administration, systems and business operations.
This is a key role working at a senior level within our Central Team.
We are a dynamic cross phase Multi Academy Trust (MAT) based at locations across Hertfordshire and Central Bedfordshire, with central provision based in St Albans. We provide a high-quality education for more than 6 thousand children between the ages of 4 and 18; within our family of schools we have a nursery and first school, a primary, an all-through school, three secondaries and an extended secondary – with more schools expected to join us this year.
The Trust aims to ensure that the skills and experience of staff at all the schools are maximised to ensure that the students in our care receive the best education possible. Expertise in teaching and learning is shared across the entire trust and support systems are centralised to enable the schools to achieve maximum efficiency from all our resources. The successful candidate will:
- Work as a member of the SET central leadership team to ensure all SET schools are supported to provide a quality education and support their communities.
- Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of administration including schools’ trips, admissions and its systems across the schools, ensuring they deliver a compliant, professional and efficient administrative provision.
- Have leadership experience and interpersonal skills, that will enable them to establish effective working relationships and inspire their team to deliver excellent customer service at every opportunity.
- Have exceptional communication and organisational skills.
- Be highly motivated and flexible with a “can do” approach that enables you to meet new challenges creatively and positively.
- Be a skilled partnership worker, able to form strong and effective working relationships.
- Demonstrate confidence, emotional intelligence, integrity and discretion.
