An exciting leadership opportunity
Guildford County is an outstanding school seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to lead a highly successful department. Science is a high performing department in the school with a very supportive team ethos and strong results, with many students progressing to read science at University. The successful applicant will have excellent subject knowledge and be a strong leader who embraces emerging technologies for the delivery of the Science curriculum.
We are seeking an outstanding and inspirational Director of Science to lead our successful Science Department and drive excellence in teaching, learning and extra-curricular provision across the school.
This is a key middle leadership role for an exceptional classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising standards and developing others. The successful candidate will teach across all key stages (including A Level) and will play a central role in shaping the strategic direction of Science within the school.
We are looking for someone to inspire the department to ensure that every student reaches their personal best and to encourage and maintain high levels of take-up at A level. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and keen to contribute to all other aspects of school life.
