Are you a passionate and ambitious mathematics leader with a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils? We are seeking an exceptional Director of Mathematics to lead the strategic development of mathematics across our growing Multi-Academy Trust.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape the quality of mathematics education from Early Years through to Key Stage 5, ensuring every pupil develops strong mathematical understanding and achieves their full potential.

About the Role

As Director of Mathematics, you will provide clear, strategic leadership for mathematics across our three secondary and five primary schools. Working closely with headteachers, subject leaders and senior leaders, you will drive improvements in teaching, curriculum and assessment to secure consistently strong attainment and progress in mathematics.

You will play a central role in building a culture of high expectations, evidence-informed practice and collaboration across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Trust-wide strategy for mathematics, ensuring a coherent and ambitious curriculum from EYFS to KS5.
• Drive sustained improvements in pupil attainment and progress, closing gaps and raising standards across all schools.
• Work with school leaders and subject leads to improve the quality of teaching and learning in mathematics.
• Use data intelligently to identify priorities, monitor impact and accelerate improvement.
• Develop and support mathematics leadership capacity across primary and secondary phases.
• Lead professional development that builds subject expertise and effective pedagogical practice.
• Promote collaboration and the sharing of best practice across the Trust.

About You

We are looking for a leader who:

• Has a strong track record of raising attainment in mathematics.
• Is an excellent mathematics practitioner with deep subject knowledge.
• Has experience of leading improvement across departments, schools or phases.
• Can inspire and develop teachers to deliver high-quality mathematics teaching.
• Is strategic, analytical and able to use evidence and data to drive improvement.
• Is committed to ensuring every child, regardless of background, succeeds in mathematics.
