Director of Teaching and Learning job summary

Permanent, Full Time, Full Year.

Based in our Central Trust Office, Harrogate, with travel to RKLT schools as required. Hybrid working available.

We are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated leader to join our Trust as Director of Teaching and Learning. This is a pivotal senior role, working closely with the CEO, Headteachers and Trust leaders to ensure every student benefits from consistently high-quality teaching and achieves outcomes aligned with their potential.

You will play a central role in shaping and delivering our approach to teaching and learning, fostering a culture of high expectations and supporting school leaders to secure sustained improvement.

About You

You will be someone who can:

  • Provide strategic leadership to drive school improvement and support key priorities, including Ofsted readiness
  • Lead the development of high-quality teaching through robust monitoring, evaluation and evidence-informed practice
  • Design and deliver a coherent teaching and learning strategy, including impactful professional development
  • Oversee curriculum quality, ensuring it is broad, balanced, inclusive and innovative
  • Foster collaboration across schools, building networks and sharing best practice
  • Champion inclusive approaches that meet the needs of all learners
