What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a DT teacher with the ability to teach Food Technology to join our team from 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026 or sooner should the post holder return earlier. This post is ideal for new and existing DT teachers who have a passion for their subject and a desire to enthuse young people and provide them with the tools for future success.

The DT faculty has its own specialist building which is fully equipped for all specialisms. The team consists of 7 specialists and 2 technicians who work closely together in designing and delivering the curriculum from KS3 to KS5 with a strong record of results. DT subjects include PD, engineering, textiles & food.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality lessons, motivate, challenge and inspire our students. They will be committed to closing gaps and raising attainment across all abilities. They should have a strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to contribute to the faculty.
