The successful applicant will be a specialist supporting EAL students so they can achieve their very best. Almost 70% of our students have English as an additional language and the team benefits from great leadership from its Curriculum Leader.
The position involves supporting in class as well as with small groups of students and sometimes on a 1:1 basis. You will be expected to support students across Years 7-13. We think this is a great opportunity for someone interested in a career in teaching in the future and are keen to provide training to facilitate that for the right candidate.
Experience or qualifications in working with students with EAL students is desirable but not essential as we will provide the necessary training. A Level 2 qualification in both Maths and English is essential—a Level 3/degree qualification is also desirable.
