The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for students with English as an Additional Language (EAL). In this role, you will deliver tailored interventions to individuals and small groups, as well as support students within mainstream lessons to ensure they can access the curriculum and make progress. You will work closely with teachers and inclusion leads to adapt resources, monitor progress, and promote an inclusive learning environment that celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity.

What We’re Looking For

You will have experience working with secondary school students and supporting learners with EAL. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential. You should be patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusion, with a good understanding of safeguarding practices. Competence in using ICT to support learning and maintain records is required, and knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage. Above all, you will be a positive role model with a passion for helping students thrive.
