What skills and experience we're looking for

Exciting Opportunities for Early Career Teachers at Trinity C of E Primary School starting 1st September 2025 Fixed Term initially until 31st August 2026

The Academies for Character and Excellence has twenty Primary Schools across Torbay, Devon & Somerset making up a dynamic and innovative learning organisation. At the heart of all we do is the pursuit of excellence; we want to grow an exceptional Trust, comprised of excellent schools. We are achieving this through our shared core values of Collaboration, Community, Integrity, Equity, and of course Uncompromising Excellence. Our church schools reflect the Church of England’s vision of education for 'Life in all its Fullness' enabling all to flourish.

We are truly collaborative, and we work together within and across our schools to ensure thorough our full and rich curriculum all our children achieve their full potential. We are proud of our outcomes, but we aspire to achieve more than just academic excellence for our children. We also want our children to become healthy thinkers, curious explorers, caring citizens, knowledgeable participants, and confident individuals.

For Trinity C of E Primary School we are looking to appoint two exceptional candidates who:

  • Will be committed to ensuring that all children achieve the highest possible outcomes
  • Have a passion to ensure high expectations for all teaching and learning
  • Ensure outstanding pedagogy which inspires, motivates and challenges pupils to be the best that they can be
  • Have an understanding of collaborative learning
  • Will work in partnership with the headteacher, local advocate board and the wider community to ensure that our mission and ethos is translated into action.

What the school offers its staff

We can offer candidates:

  • An exciting and innovative Trust that will inspire and allow you to reach your full potential through our Talent Management Program
  • Collaborative support within Trust Improvement Groups
  • Enhanced support from an Early Careers Teacher Lead that will work closely with you as part of your development
  • Collaborative support from other ECT professionals from within the Trust
  • A Trust which cultivates pupils through character development leading to a stimulating and innovative curriculum
  • Polite, happy and engaged children with a great enthusiasm for learning
  • The opportunity to work with like-minded professionals across the Trust enabling continuous professional support

Our ECT program includes receiving excellent ongoing support through those critical early years of the teaching profession. In addition to school-based training and mentorship, ECTs are afforded the opportunity to take part in our own custom-made training program based on the ACE curriculum. Each session has a key focus and is led by a leading practitioner in that field. This training program has proven invaluable to our ECTs who collaborate with each other as they develop best practice.

We are looking for applications from like-minded people who share our Trust values and enjoy working in a collaborative culture. If you want your potential to be unlocked, and your talent managed, then we would love to hear from you!
