The Meads Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be professional, enthusiastic and a committed individual, able to use their own initiative and have experience of Early Years education in a pre-school, care or education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas.
  • Support the class teacher in managing classroom dynamics and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Support the teaching and learning of young children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to help tailor individual learning experiences.
  • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development, helping to foster independence and positive behaviour.
  • Contribute positively to the work of the team, sharing ideas and resources to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, supporting them to engage in their child’s learning journey.
